Aug. 3 1987- Jan. 5 2003

Melissa Rose was an outgoing, funny, and sweet fifteen year old who loved her friends, family, and life itself. She was murdered by her cousin in St. Charles, Michigan and he has stood trial. That does not bring our precious Melissa back though. She is forever in our hearts and prayers and we will forever miss her dearly.

Melissa,
It's been over a year now since your death and still everyday seems to have an emptiness. I miss meeting you at your locker at school, exchanging notes in the hallway, singing in my basement, and all of our memories from past years. You were truly my best friend and I am so thankful for the person you were to me. Thank you for always being there for me no matter what and for always trying to cheer me up. I know you are still with us today but the presence of you is truly missed. I love you forever Melissa.
